Task 39 Meeting No. 1 2018 will take place in the Danish Technical University (DTU) Risø Campus http://www.dtu.dk/english/About/CAMPUSES/DTU-RISOE-Campus close to the town of Roskilde, Denmark. The DTU Campus is located on the Risø Peninsula, in Roskilde Fjord, 7 km north of the historic town of Roskilde and 40 km west of Copenhagen.
The town of Roskilde is approximately 50 minutes journey by train from Copenhagen.
The online journey planner https://www.rejseplanen.dk/webapp/index.html?language=en_EN can be used to plan your journey by public transport.
By car the journey is 50km from Copenhagen Airport
How to get to DTU-Risø campus:
At CPH Airport, you can buy a ticket all the way to Risø from the vending machines or the DSB counters at the end of the arrival hall.
From CPH Airport, you have first to take a train to Copenhagen Central Station (København H), i.e. all trains departing from Track 2 (approx. every 10mins during day time)
In KBH H, change platform and take a train going in the opposite direction and which stops in Roskilde (stops are listed on the TV screens on the platforms).
If you are lucky, you may get an InterCity train, that directly goes from CPH Airport to Roskilde (every hour, trains toward Aalborg).
In Roskilde, take bus 600S going toward Hillerød St. (every 15 mins). The bus stop is on the opposite side of the station building relatively to the tracks, on the other side of the street. To get there, on the platform go to the tunnel at the front of the train and go left when down the stairs. You can't miss Risø stop (when you see the wind turbines :-) ). To get a taxi to Risø, go to the front of the station.
The whole trip by public transport should take around 1h 10mins.
Delegates must make their own accommodation arrangements for the meeting.
Franck Bertagnolio, our meeting host at DTU, has also kindly offered to provide to provide a technical tour of the new anechoic wind tunnel facility at DTU Risø, which may be of interest to participants dealing with aero-acoustics.
