  • What: in a workshop setting, experts will be encouraged to engage in technical discussion on the challenges and opportunities linked to large scale arrays of floating offshore wind turbines. A la carte sessions on selected topics are being proposed.
  • Who: industry (wind turbine OEMs, offshore wind turbine owner and operators, offshore wind component suppliers, offshore wind turbine service and repair providers) and academia (universities, research institutions), marine economy unions and advocates, marine wildlife and environmental experts, as well as funding agencies
  • Why: to establish a briefing on the state of existing floating offshore wind array planning, the challenges and opportuinities common to all developers and to scope an new IEA Task

Registration Procedure

Invited Experts: To register, please click on the register button below (it will appear as soon as registration is open), log-in with your email address and then follow the online registering procedure to the event (selection of sessions etc.).
If you have trouble connecting you’ll need to first click on "Can't access your account?" and enter your email address to reset your password.
If it is your first time being involved with IEA Wind and you do not possess an account yet, you can request one by clicking on "New User/Register Now". It will need to be validated by an admin before you can register.

Interested Participants: We can accommodate additional participants (usually subject to your working country's ExCo member's approval). Please contact the Operating Agent of Task 11 at ieawindtask11@planair.ch to be added to the guest list.

  • Final agenda:
    • The final agenda can be subject to change in order to best accommodate participants’ availability.
    • We encourage you to sign up to your preferred session(s) even if you are not available at the proposed time. Please specify so in the registration form and we will try to adjust the time and day to fit the majority of attendees.
    • We therefore suggest that you pre-book all three days of the meeting.
  • Engagement:
    • Participants are encouraged to contribute actively either by presenting, chairing a small group discussion or taking notes for the group. They can volunteer using the registration form below.
  • Participations fee:
    • for experts working in countries participating in Task 11, no participation fee applies
    • for experts working in countries not participating in Task 11, a participation fee of 1’000 EUR per country applies to the first TEM (the invoice will be sent per email, no online payment possible). For additionnal TEMs, a participation fee of 2'500 EUR applies.
  • By registering to this event, you allow IEA Wind to keep your contact information and publish pictures of you on their online community platform.
